I'm surprised at the number of pilgrims who are still pouring into Santiago de Compostela - 1649 today alone. I would have thought that anyone who walked in July would have wanted to be in SdeC for the 25th - but apparently not.For anyone who hasn't seen these numbers, these stats are from [

"During the month of july 2010, 40.690 pilgrims were received at the Pilgrim's Office. The number of pilgrims in the past Holy Year, 2004, during the same period was 31.896. Of those pilgrims, 18.995 (46,68%) were women and 21.695 (53,32%) men. 36.054 (88,61%) pilgrims arrived on foot, 4.424 (10,87%) by bicicle, 203 (0,50%) on horseback, and 9 (0,02%) pilgrims on wheel-chair."
